According to many, Goswami Tulsidas found inspiration for Ramcharitmanas in the tranquil environment of the Mochan Hanuman temple grounds.
Goswami Tulsidea’s Ramcharitmanas has had a monumental impact on India’s spiritual society. His work has significantly influenced the Bhakti movement, which spread devotion to God throughout India. He was responsible for reshaping Indian spirituality as we know it today, which is deeply rooted in the narrative of Lord Rama.
Through his vivid storytelling, he envisioned a society led by the principles of dharma and devotion. His depiction of Lord Rama as the perfect ruler, Sita as the paragon of virtue, and Hanuman as the model of devotion has provided moral and spiritual direction for generations.

Today, Prof. Vishwambhar Nath Mishra, Sankat Mochan Hanuman
mandir’s current mahant, is continuing the legacy of his
predecessor, the late Prof. Veer Bhadra Mishra. As a result of his
leadership, the temple has continued to thrive as a place of worship,
with teachings rich with deities like Ram, Shiva, Vishnu, and Krishna
resonating within its walls, deepening the devotees' spiritual
